Personal development
I, Baev Dmitry Eduardovich, was born on April 29, 1999 in the city of Khartsyzsk, Donetsk region, in the
family of a mining worker Eduard Nikolaevich Baev and an ambulance worker Galina Valerievna Baeva.
As a child, I was moderately sociable and quite active child. I liked physical activity, so I tried
myself in various sections, went to acrobatics, swimming and combat all-around, and also did
skateboarding, which later remained in my life for a long time. As I later found out for myself, I don’t
like the athlete’s lifestyle, no, I liked the competitive aspect of the sections, getting awards and
winning regional competitions or even getting gold / silver / bronze medals at world competitions, but
this is all until there is no realization that if you want to get only prizes at any level of
competition, you will have to train constantly - you will have to live with training, which imposes a
lot of restrictions on your free time, and on your lifestyle in general. Therefore, skateboarding has
remained with me to this day - in street sports, and this can be not only skateboarding, there is no
clear schedule or strict requirements, no - you can do this sport at any time.
At the age of 6, I went to the first class of the Dominanta gymnasium in the city of Khartsyzsk. From
elementary school, I was passionate about my studies and enjoyed completing assignments and getting good
grades. After some time, I started studying with an English tutor, which I really liked. In my free
time, I was fond of video games, quite often my friends and I spent time in a computer club for a common
hobby.
My acquaintance with computer technology had a great influence on me. A friend of my father was very
good at this. It inspired me a lot, became to some extent an example, and had a great influence on my
future life. Even now, looking back at these pleasant moments every weekend, I want to get together with
friends and discuss innovations in computer hardware, but what's the iron - in the field of electronics
in general! It concerns everything: personal computers, set-top boxes, portable devices, devices, mobile
equipment and gadgets for them.
Professional development
I approached the choice of profession consciously. After the 9th grade of the school, I entered the
Polytechnic College in Makeevka with a degree in Programming in Computer Systems, and as I studied
professional disciplines, I began to successfully develop my first programming skills, which gave a good
experience. I would like to express special gratitude to the teacher Victoria Pavlovna Donchik, who gave
a powerful knowledge base in operating systems, computer networks, databases and web application
development. Already at this stage, I had enough knowledge to help my older comrades in the field of
website layout or server-side development using technologies that were still being developed in PHP at
that time.
After college, I entered the university with a degree in Software Engineering, where I continued to
develop in the field of programming and development. It was easy to learn new disciplines, because. they
were all based on a previously obtained base.
In general, during the training, all subjects were interesting in their own way, but the course
"Security of programs and data" was of particular interest. In the course of studying cryptographic
methods of information protection, I became interested in the issue of information protection by
steganography not only for images, but also for other types of files. Subsequently, this topic became
decisive for the term paper on steganography of audio files and the thesis on steganography of video
files.
It was the university that made it possible to get acquainted with different technologies and
programming languages. During my undergraduate studies, I actively studied various programming
languages, both compiled and interpreted. I began to understand which technology suits which technical
requirements better. Which language will best fit the basic requirements for the future system. Many
novice developers were scared when they heard "legacy", but thanks to the university program, I can
quickly join any project - whether it's support for legacy code, or a startup. Having become acquainted
with the software life cycle and equivalent subjects, I can now take an active part in the stages of
designing or drawing up business requirements for a future system.
Goals, plans and vision for the future
The goal for the near future is the successful defense of the master's work. In the future, I want to get high-quality experience in the field of BackEnd development of Web applications using the Ruby and Python programming languages in order to improve both the theoretical and practical base. For the current period, as the main specialization, I will focus on the profession of QA Engeneer in order to pay more attention to the quality of the developed Web products, as well as the compliance of the modules being developed by the developers with the requirements of the Customer.
