Personal Section: My Hobbies and a Funny Story

My Hobbies

Every person strives to find something in life that brings joy and helps to escape daily concerns. My time outside of studying is a mix of creativity, intellectual pursuits, and simple pleasures that help me recharge. I have several hobbies that make my life more interesting and diverse.

Working in Photoshop and Graphic Design.
One of my main hobbies is working in Photoshop. It all started with simple curiosity and the desire to create something creative: cropping photos, applying filters, and experimenting with colors. But gradually, I got more involved. I began to explore layers, masks, learned to create graphic elements, and even tried designing banners for small projects for friends. This hobby gave me the opportunity to see the world differently: to notice details, understand color combinations, and develop a sense of style.

Working in Photoshop is not just about creativity but also a way to relax. Sometimes, I open an old photograph and experiment with it, transforming an ordinary image into something new and unique. Occasionally, these are just funny collages, and other times, full-fledged designs that I am proud of.

Computer Games.
My second hobby is computer games. For many, it is just a way to pass time, but for me, it is a real way to reset my brain and immerse myself in another world. I love strategy games and games with a strong storyline, where you can fully dive into the atmosphere and escape reality. Computer games have taught me a lot: planning my actions, making decisions, and working as a team, especially when it comes to co-op games with friends.

Games often become a way to gather with friends in the evening, laugh, and experience something fun together. It’s especially hilarious when one of us accidentally “fails” a mission or forgets to complete an important task — it always becomes a reason for jokes and long discussions.

Board Games.
Board games are always fun and a great way to spend time with friends. We often gather as a group and organize tournaments in “Monopoly” or other board games. Every time, it’s accompanied by jokes, funny arguments about the rules, and, of course, the inevitable “bankruptcy” of one of the players.

A Funny Story

When we talk about hobbies, moments inevitably come up that leave bright memories. One of the funniest stories in my life happened precisely because of my passion for computer games.

A few years ago, my friends and I decided to host a tournament in one of our favorite games. The rules were simple: everyone plays in turns while the others watch and cheer. We gathered at my place, stocked up on chips, soda, and prepared for “serious” competition. At one point, one of my friends, let’s call him Sasha, was so engrossed in the game that, not realizing how quiet it got around him, he began loudly commenting on his actions out loud:
“Alright, I’m going to beat this boss now. Careful… jump… attack! Aaa! Why aren’t you dying? Alright, Plan B: run for your life!

We couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing. Sasha, who was completely living in his game world at that moment, looked around confused and said, “Why are you all laughing? This is serious business happening here!” What happened next is hard to recall because we spent the rest of the evening teasing him about his “Plan B” and his escape instead of victory.

The climax of the story came when Sasha accidentally deleted his saved game later. We thought he would be upset, but he just shrugged and said, “At least now I know how not to escape.” Since then, that phrase has become our “catchphrase” for any tricky situation.

Conclusion

My hobbies reflect my character. Working in Photoshop helps me develop creativity, while computer games and board games teach me teamwork and strategic thinking. These hobbies do not just fill my free time — they make me a more well-rounded person.

Each hobby carries something important: creativity, excitement, logic, or just funny moments that later become the brightest memories. I’m sure that in the future, I will have even more hobbies and stories to share. But one thing will remain unchanged: I will always find time for what brings me joy and helps me grow.
