Cheerful childhood

I was born on April, 28, 1983 in Donetsk. My mother's name is Soldatova Helena. She is chemist/pharmacist by education. My father's name is Soldatov Alexander. He is military man. I don't have neither brothers no sisters. In 1984 my family and I moved to Leningrad region near Vsevologsk city. We lived in cantonment not far from Ladoga. I had normal childhood with joys and afflictions. I think the kindergarten was the biggest affliction of my childhood. I didn't like to visit kindergarten, because there I was forced to sleep during the day. It was awful. Mainly, I was educated by my mother. She played with me different games. And as I understand now, these were the games, which taught and developed a child. Also my mother taught me how to count and read. That is why I didn't have big problems when I was studying in an elementary school.

When I went to school, I was happy, because it was so interesting there. There were also many friends and we had much more freedom. At school I was a leader that not everyone liked. It was easy for me to study and I had good marks, sometimes even good ones. I liked almost all of the subjects in school. But my favourite subject always was mathematics. That is why I always knew, that my future education will be connected with mathematics.

The most remembered episodes of that period of my life were the trips to Saint Petersburg. It is very beautiful city. With my class we have visited many different museums, have seen various monuments of architecture.

When I was thirteen, we moved back to Donetsk. I went to school number 50 in Donetsk. Honestly, unique advantage of this school is close location to my house. I had not found many friends there.

In the senior classes of school I took part in such intelligence games as "Debate" and game "What? Where? When?". If in debates our team didn't achieve special successes, that in "What? Where? When?" we even took first places. It was very interesting and cheerful. But we had to finish our intelligence games in 11-th grade, because we had to prepare for entrance to High School.

Student's years

I decided to be programmer when I was eight or nine years old. At that time my uncle bought a computer, and I was very interested in it. Of course, when I was a child I didn't really understand what the profession of programmer meant. But gradually my wish increased and I have decided to pass exams to Donetsk State Technical University, Computer technologies and information sciences faculty, Computer science. Before enter to the university I had visited access courses, which DonNTU have organized every year for entrants. These courses helped me very much, because at school we didn't have enough mathematics to pass the entrance exams.

During studying at the university I have learned to work with such programming languages and software products as Delphi, Visual Studio, Perl, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, PhotoShop, MS Office, Mathematica, etc. From the second to the fourth course I was profoundly studying English language at the university. On the fourth course I become one of winners of competition for the best scientific work of students. The theme of my work was "Modelling of web-servers with finite queue using methods of queuing theory".

I received bachelor's degree with distinction in 2004. Then I decided to enter the magistracy. While studying at the university my favourite subjects were the discrete mathematics and computer nets. That is why I did not have any problems with choosing the science adviser. Both these subjects are combined in my master thesis "Research of adaptive algorithms of routing for networks". My science adviser is the candidate of engineering science Ladyzhensky Yuri Valentinovich.

Bright future

In future I would like to continue to study routing in the computer nets. Scientists from West apply the behaviour of social insects to solve the problem of routing. It is quite interesting task and it can be applied not only for routing, but also for other problems, that appear in computer nets (for example, to provide balanced loading of traffic in the net).

Also I would like to find an interesting and well paid job. My future job can be connected with any type of activity. The only thing that I don't like is the 3D-graphics.

In the next future I am planning to create my own family.
