AUTOBIOGRAPHY

My name is Irina, my surname is Brovkina. I am a student of fifth course of the Donetsk national technical university, masters study.

I was born in the small industrial town Snezhnoe, Donetsk region of July, 20, 1982. My father worked by miner, mother - by engineer-technologist at the machine-building plant. In this town passed my childhood and youth. In three years I went into the kindergarten «Gold key», and already from five years I was able to read and write. From the early age I liked the dances. From 1988 to 1999 years I learned in the secondary school N 5 of town Snezhnoe. This was interesting time which will be memorized for life. My favorite's subjects were the English and mathematics. There were city olympiads of these subjects, which I took active part. Naturally, not always it successed to take the first seats, but I consider, that the participation in similar measures develops a man and exposes its creative capabilities. In the ninth and tenth classes I took the second seats on olympiads from English. I dedicated free time to drawing and reading, and also to the sporting and classic dances. From 1988 year to 1997 I visited the dancing group «Snezhinka».

In a 1999 year I entered a Donetsk national technical university on speciality «Applied materiology». But already every other the half a year I understood, that I chose not right profession. So I dedicated following six months to preparation to new preliminary examinations. Both in first, and in the second times I entered an university on rating. This time I chose speciality the «Geological survey, search and investigation». I understood that I want to study that science which is most closely related to the problems of search of minerals and problems of equilibrium between the growing necessities of humanity and limited resources of nature. On this speciality I study and now and think, that in this case did the correct choice. Geology is the basic direction of study. This science is very ancient, still from the Stone Age the men learned to obtain the mineral riches of nature and use them for different targets. But, in spite of its age, geology and now remains one of most interesting and unstudied sciences, and its problems are actual, and till today.

It is enough interestingly for me to study on this speciality and, therefore I make definite to progress. In spring of 2003 years I executed the term paper on theme: «Problems of diamonds presence in Greenland». Its essence consisted of prognosis of diamonds presence on the method of analogy with similar deposits and displays on Earth. The diamonds area in Greenland was compared to the display of diamonds in Priazove, Ukraine also. All material, which used for writing of term paper was taken from the publications of results of conference on the problems of diamonds presence, conducted in Great Britain and is translated by me on Russian. This work caused interest and approval not only at colleagues-students, but at the teachers of department «Minerals and ecological geology» also.

In April, 2004 in Dnipropetrovsk the All-ukrainian olympiad on geology was conducted. It was suggested to two students from group to take in it part. It was to me lucky, and I turned out one of them. In Dnipropetrovsk we stayed six days. For this time we saw history and mineralogical museums, listened the lectures about new directions in the applied geology and mineralogy, and took part in same olympiad also. This affected my attitude toward the chosen profession positively, elevated my mind and complimented with a lot of the interesting acquaintances.

Now I study on the fifth course and it is possible to bring some results. For the time conducted in university, the directions of geochemistry and geology of ore minerals especially pleased to me. In these directions I am going to work farther, and chose the proper theme for the master's degree work: «Features of geological structure of the Mazurovskoe deposit and prognosis of rare metals presence in the alkaline breeds of the Octyabrsky tract». Now I work in the given direction, collect and process necessary material, in order to the future to write the deserving work. My scientific supervisor is been by the PhD of geological sciences Volkova Tatiana Petrovna. In a 2004 year she protected doctor's thesis. Its scientific directions are been by geochemistry and secret service of minerals. With this teacher I have learned from the second course and now continue to be advised at it on the questions of master's degree work.

In the future I want to devote myself to the study of geological sciences, as this is actual interestingly and enthralling for me and I feel that I can do a lot of useful in this direction, to bring in my contribution to development of the science «Geology». There are a lot of different opening, achievements appear in world; new studies and directions develop, but it is impossible to forget about that, what the development of all industry is based on and, where the humanity ladles all new and new resources from. Geology will remain basis of industrial progress, supplying with the necessary raw material and opening new possibilities of the use of gifts of nature.
