Childhood

I was born in the small town named Snezhinsk, which is situated in the far cold Ural. But at the moment of my birth that town existed in conditions of very severe secrecy, you couldn’t find it on any map: one of the branches of federal scientific center was situated there. However, our family lived there not very long: in 1989 we moved to Makeevka, Donetsk region. Here passes my conscious life. Soon I started visiting kindergarten, but I didn’t like it, because there we had to sleep in the midday and to stick to hard and fast rules. I learned to read when I was 5, and very soon reading turned to be my favourite pastime.

School Years

When I was 7, I started my education in primary school #5 in Makeevka. Studying came easily to me, so I had time to visit various sections: ballet dancing, drawing, singing, chess, English. All it was possible thanks to my mother, who, in spite of being busy, found time to help me in versatile development.

For domestic circumstances I lived 2 years with my Granny, Chumakova Margarita Ivanovna. She is a wonderful person, kindhearted and sympathetic. She never loses optimism and interest to life. Thanks to her I learned to ski and to skate, and even went in for winter-swimming in the ice-hole during a year!

When I was a senior pupil, I studied in Makeevka town lyceum #1 in the form with technical profile. It means that we gained profound knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and other technical sciences there.

Among bright impressions of school years were tourist trips, organized by our class-maid Demidenko Irina Petrovna. Her motto is such phrase: “You should not only love your Motherland, you should know it!”. We visited different places of interests in our country. Dendropark “Sofievka”, situated in a small town Uman in Cherkassi region, appeared to be a real finding for me. We were struck by its beauty.

I’d like to mention one of our school teachers - our teacher of mathematics Rastorguev Nikolai Grigor’evich. We were afraid of him at the first time because of his strictness. Lessons were difficult, but interesting. At his lessons complicated mathematical formulas were followed by funny jokes. Soon Nikolai Grigor’evich became one of our favourite teachers. I suppose, many of my classmates (most of them are DonNTU students) will agree with me, that just due to his high professionalism we have passed entering examinations in Mathematics and became students.

Choosing University and Speciality

In graduating-classes it was time to think about my professional future. There were no doubts concerning the choice of university: DonNTU is reputed to be the best institute of higher education in Donetsk by the level of training of specialists. But it was more difficult with the final choice of future profession: I was interested in many sciences, furthermore, technical and humanitarian sciences came equally easily to me. After long hesitation I’ve chosen “Economical cybernetics”, faculty of Computing Machinery and Informatics. It has attracted me by the fact that it combines modern computer technologies and economics (not a single specialist can manage without knowledge of it). By the way, this speciality gives wide opportunities for self-development, its graduates can find their places in different spheres.

So, my future occupation had been chosen. It remained to enter the university, necessarily on the budget-paid place. I got down to my preparations with great seriousness, and in May I could boast of being a student. There were The Last Bell, The School Leaving Party and absolutely new life in front of me.

University

During studies in the university we received basic knowledge in economical sciences, good knowledge of mathematics, learned to work with different programs for economical analysis.

Interests

I have many different interests, but unfortunately I don’t have enough time to go in for them. I like reading interesting books, visiting theatre and philharmonic society. I also like music, I have even finished musical school, where I studied playing guitar. Although I play not very often, I don’t feel sorry for spending much time on it. Musical school inculcated in me a taste for music.

From this winter I have a new hobby- figure skating. I have always liked this kind of sport, and now I have an opportunity to attend the skating-rink, so in winter I tried to master primary elements.

Plans for the Future

My main task for the nearest several years is becoming a good specialist in my profession. Fortunately, I won’t need to find a job after graduating from the university, ‘cause now I’m working at big industrial enterprise. I’m trying to recommend myself properly at my place of work, to reveal my abilities and knowledge, and in the future to deserve a decent appointment.
