Introduction

Virtually all of Ukraine's population does not have an accessible and reliable information about the problem "of genetically modified organisms" (GMOs) and their environmental hazards. The danger coming from GMOs, much deeper than just a "drama at the kitchen table", ie food allergies and poisoning caused by GMOs, and far from being understood by all specialists # biologists and decision-makers.

Ukraine, while in the middle of Europe, is a zone "Calm information" on the issue of GMOs: for example, even in the excellent book, the International Socio-Ecological Union, "Kings and cabbage, or that they never tell about genetic engineering", based on the provisions of this article, are informed about what is happening in our neighbouring countries which are supported by NGOs working in this area, but there is no single word about what is happening in Ukraine.

We are quite active in the country western, primarily German and American agrofirma, preferring to conduct experiments with GMO on the Belarusian fields, using the complete absence of legislation on biosafety and indifference population and decision makers at the state level.

-- What, indeed, the problem? That you want to stop the "progress of science and humanity"? -- Asks the reader, whether he genetics scientist, biologist, doctor, manager, or simply a man with the "modern world". -- No, we do not want. But we remember and Chernobyl. Remember the assurances of President USSR Academy of Sciences in "full security" of atomic energy.

So must look themselves in this issue and decide, not trusting his only professionals interested in advancing the "well-paid technology" with uncertain consequences for the future.

In order to understand, "what the problem", let's look at the basic, already published facts and ascertain the positions of all "stakeholders".

And make conclusions…
