Direct meeting with the university has begun in the manege with the choosing of the sport specialization. First
experience of students’ communication I’ve got before the next pair during the searching of the lecture hall № 3.336.
The most unusual surprise was waiting for me inside the lecture hall. Our first lection was read by Anatoly
Efremovitch Skvortsov. It was interesting to see well-known face among the colleagues. Dmitry Kostritsky was
the pupil of the parallel class at school #61. Victor Rud has been my friend since summer practice at the university.
I wasn’t disappointed by the things being seen. I felt like there was absolutely other world and it wasn’t similar to
the past. Soon awareness of the changes has visited me. I’d understood that university had no similarity to school.
For two weeks I was feeling like I had never seen anything like that before. My main assumptions have been confirmed:
- there were a lot of work to do
- training should be creative, ironical and humorous
- knowledge had to be balanced with the student rest
Neither good nor bad my student life had begun. I’ve had a habit to do any work qualitative. It’s most likely that
success on the examinations was caused by that habit.
Without students’ romanticism and way of life there the years of university would turn into mere formality. It doesn’t
matter that I haven’t got any experience of living in the student dormitory. Balmy and light-headed atmosphere of
students’ freedom sometimes turned my head. There were a lot of walks with the girlfriends in the spring (of
course at the time of lectures) and students’ holidays in my life.
Afterwards first examinations I’ve understood that success is not so far from me. Little effort should be applied to
score it. I mean not only studying, but going for sports and positive vision of life. I used to going for basketball
frequently. I’ve been going for boxing up to the 2-nd course. Very often I’ve found time for the morning jogging in
my crowded schedule.
Social life of the university didn’t give me a wide berth. I’ve been executing a duty of trade organizer of our learning
circle. This activity has begun almost accidentally. It happened on the 4-th week of studying on the 1-st course.
The question about scholarship wasn’t solved in our learning circle. Once I was asked by our course leader to solve
this problem. I agreed. As a result this job was done quicker than in other learning circles on the department.
Almost too accidentally I’ve started executing a duty of course leader of our learning circle. It seems that I’ve been
executing that duty on the high level. I can say so because there were not any complaints at my work from the side
of members of my learning circle.
