The biography of any person begins with the words; "I was born". I will start my story differently, namely with the words of my elder sister: "I want to have a sister". All the relatives and close people were very glad about my birth and tried to take part in choosing the name for me. What only they did not suggest; but my sister had called me Kate before I was born, like her favourite doll was called. She has been actively participating in my bringing up since my early childhood, even keeping her friends off my pram.
From the early age I wanted to find myself in some interesting activity. First, I liked dancing. I was attending a dancing club until it disintegrated. This was how my career of a professional dancer came to an end. My kindergarten was called "Kolobok". A lot of warm reminiscences are connected with it.
When I was six, I went to the first form of Secondary school No 6 for the first time. Best of all I remember the First Bell Parade, because it was me who gave the first bell. From the first to the fourth grade my class teacher was Vinogradova Nina Vasilievna.
Starting from the fifth form and up to graduation the permanent class "mother" of our form was Portyanaya Viktoria Ivanovna, an excellent person and teacher from all points of view. In the fifth form I began to go in for hiking. From the first trainings I was fascinated by this united team headed by its wonderful leader Stepanenko Viktor Avtonomovich. On all the holidays we were going hiking, singing tourist songs, training, resting and relaxing by both body and soul. Being the member of the team from the sixth to the ninth form, I achieved much: during three years I was taking the first places in solo and team technique. I am missing it at the university now.
After graduating I entered the Krasnoarmeisk Lyceum "Nadezhda". Studying at the lyceum didn’t cause any serious difficulties for me, and it was due to my parents first of all, who have never fixed any strict demands concerning marks; at the same time, they have supported and encouraged my curiosity and desire to find my way in all branches of knowledge. In a union with excellent teachers of our lyceum this let me reveal myself, without any extreme efforts, in those subjects which were especially interesting for me.
One of the most complicated stages for me became the moment of choosing the further way of study. My family, which consists of the representatives of different professions (my mother is an engineer, my father is a miner, my sister is a manager), that is why my choice depended only on me. I tried myself in different high schools of Ukraine, but for one and the same profession — economical cybernetics. Finally, I made my choice in favour of DonNTI, as this university seemed the advantageous for me on many reasons.
The study at the university opened wide opportunities for self-realization in different spheres. This is what makes the main merit of the student life: when being at university you can choose any activity, should it be exact professional specialization, or amateur art, and develop in this direction. In any case, you can always find like-minded people and get encouragement in your undertaking. If to speak about my study, the most difficult for me happened to be the first-year — I couldn’t understand exactly how to organize my time and create my own rhythm of learning. But it became easier and more interesting from the second year (the number of special subjects and teachers of our department were constantly increasing in our time-table). The institute for the students from other towns is a good school of life, as only in a hostel one can learn to live independently, to understand and respect other people’s interests, to know when to support, when to scold, when just to keep silent. This is it.
My plans for the future are an interesting question, taking into consideration the world we live in; the world where it is impossible to predict your tomorrow. But one must be an optimist and believe in the better. Actually, I am at the beginning of my way (or nearly at the beginning). That is why I only recently began to think about my future, when I realized that in another half a year my study would finish.
At the moment I have got three aims for the further realization:
I want to leave at least a small trace on Earth, whatever commonplace idea it may seem. I trust in some years I will be able to say: I have done what I had thought of. I know for sure one thing; whatever I may achieve, I will always have some other interesting plans for the following several years of my life.
