Childhood
It was the end of May, 1988. Blooming orchards. Bewitching aroma. Streets covered with petals... The whiff of a wind picked up and twirled whirlwind petals, having turned the next page of the calendar… The first week of that June was marked for my parents with the birth of the desired and long-waited daughter, i.e. me.So, I, i.e. Okrushko Kseniya Nikolaevna was born in the tiny town of Karlo-Libknekckhtovsk (nowadays Soledar) on the 6th of June, 1988. That rainy summer day I was considered as a ray of light to my daddy Okrushko Nikolay Viktorovich and my mummy Okrushko Rimma Nikolaevna. That cloudy day I brought happiness not only to parents, but also to my senior brother Sasha and I was inseparable with him within our childhood. Certainly, the boy did not like my company and at the first chance he tried to get rid of me. I had to do my best to join "man's" company. So among dolls, bows and soft toys there were autos, guns and other boyish attributes. Then I was fond of football, cycling, lead-moulding, madcapping in the parks (we picked up the first tulips there), and night roaming about the cemetery and excursions to the shabby open cinema-circle. What a tasty peach grew at the neighbour orchard! We often made raids to get tasty fresh fruit! I liked to get fun with children living next-door. There were 30 children in our house consisting of eighteen apartments. All of us were of different age, and the senior always were responsible for the younger; we in turn tried not to disappoint the senior. This vivid example of amicable company for a long time remains in my memory.
Not less bright child flashback was the kindergarten of "Zvyozdochka, there I was a member of the child-group referred to as "Kalinka" (later "Tcheburashka"). I still remember mass pot sit-round before the sleeping hour and the suit of "the charming viburnum" at the spring performance (for some reason among all the suits I had, I remembered right this one).
School
Most children from the kindergarten became my schoolmates then. As schoolmates we met on the 1st September, 1995. I had blurred remembrance of that holiday, but I remember the First Ring very well as my schoolmate Alina was the bell-ringer instead of me because of my one extra kilo. Nevertheless that small failure has not prevented to achieve school heights. I was a cheerful, vigorous, sociable and active child, (it is of my daddy), — and inquisitive, active and seizing everythngi — it is of my mum. Probably, these qualities, and also diligence and aspiration to knowledge helped me to achieve success both in study, and in the social activity. Various quizzes, competitions, thematic evenings, mugs, contests and competitions, wall newspapers faded at the moment, when in my life appeared volleyball which eclipsed even child dream to dance. So, I started active training. As a result I became captain of the team, the versatile player and I won considerable awards. I also tried myself in cultural activity: I conducted with my friend, Ms. Halkecheva Margarita (she was a schoolmate and a sport partner), a musical telecast on the local TV channel. But this hobby did not last long, and in half a year I was devoted to sports. As a result I achieved the first adult sports category in volleyball.University
So, in school vanity and trainings years flew imperceptibly. And June, 2005 came… The award, final ball passed… And I became a student of Donetsk National Technical University.Within my conscious childhood I wished to follow my mother’s wake and to continue the family dynasty of builders, to be exact, I dreamt to become an engineer-designer. But my mum’s firm "NO” broke off any desire to achieve the aim. Then the idea to become a journalist has born in my head and… And now I am training for an engineer of Mineral processing! It is not building and journalism, and it is far from my child dream, but … Mineral processing is rather an interesting occupation.
Plans for the future
In the nearest future I hope "to enrich my life" with knowledge taken for the last five and a half years of training at university. Frankly speaking, in the future I would like to settle my life: to find a well — paid and interesting job, to achieve success in my carrier, thus becoming the valuable and smart employee; to become the loving and careful wife and, certainly, to feel pleasure of motherhood. "Career" and "Family" are considered to be mutually exclusive concepts, but I would possess enough efforts and wisdom to make impossible to fuse them!I am very grateful to my parents, to my favourite tutor Mrs.E.A. Borovik, to the first teacher Mrs.V.M. Gangalova and to the trainers Mr. О.А. Opryshkov and Mrs. S.G. Opryshkova for their participation in my life.
