Biography

Personal Development

My name is Nikita Antonovich Gorbunov, and I was born on November 15, 2000, in the city of Yenakiyevo. My mother, Natalia Yevgenievna Gorbunova, is a labor organization and standardization engineer working at EMZ (Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant) as the chief labor specialist. I am not the only child in the family; I have a twin sister, Ekaterina Antonovna Gorbunova, who is currently studying at Donetsk National Medical University named after M. Gorky in her sixth year. At the age of 7, I started attending General Education School No. 8, where I completed 11 grades. This school provided unforgettable experiences, including participation in volleyball and football competitions. After finishing school, I lost touch with my classmates. Our class teacher was Irina Vyachislavovna Kravtsova, a person who made a significant impact on our lives, imparting knowledge, giving advice, being very friendly to each of us, and preparing us well for adult life.

Professional Development

My favorite subject has always been history, and I have always enjoyed reading about battles and naval battles. This influenced my choice of future profession, and I decided to pursue a career in the navy by enrolling in the Nakhimov Naval School. However, due to serious financial problems in the family and instability in the country, I had to give up this path and explore other options.

When it came time to decide where to go after the 11th grade, I chose programming and applied to Donetsk National Technical University (DONTNU). When I submitted my documents, I was immediately warned that the Software Engineering faculty was the most challenging in the entire university and that without a strong foundation in mathematics, it would be very difficult for me to succeed. My decision was not swayed by this, and I successfully enrolled on a government scholarship. It was indeed challenging, and I accrued debts after the first semester. Fortunately, I managed to pay off all my debts and decided it was time to take my studies more seriously. I learned to manage my free time effectively, understand which subjects deserved more attention, and the sequence in which to complete laboratory work. Subsequently, I had no academic problems, and I successfully defended my diploma. In 2022, I enrolled in the master's program in the same field and continue my education.

The topic of my diploma and master's thesis is closely related to website development, and I would like to continue to grow in this direction. My advisor, Irina Alexandrovna Kolomoitseva, is one of the most respected professors at the university and is always ready to help with questions and difficulties.

In 2022, I completed free courses in 1C HR Management. Now, due to the fact that most industrial enterprises in the republic are transitioning to new software standards of the Russian Federation, there is a need for specialists who can facilitate the transition to the new software and train personnel. In April, I started working at EMZ as a consultant, and after additional qualification courses offered by the company, I was promoted to an analyst and later to a 1C programmer. Currently, my position is called a programmer-analyst, and my work has become more complex, with more responsibilities, but I manage to combine work with my studies.

Goals, Plans, and Vision for the Future

In the coming years, I want to move to another country and, if possible, switch to remote work. I also want to improve my proficiency in English/German and continue taking courses to enhance my professional skills.
